So I need to knock over some stumps/small trees

Above ground or in the ground pool? Backhoe or bobcat if your wanting to remove roots. Anyhow, the offer still stands if you would like a hand. I do have a fair amount of experience felling/cutting trees and I've got gas thats getting old for the chainsaw.

Hmmm...this would be a good place to use all that Army trainin! This little demo charge for cutting trees..or bring everything outta the ground. But then again the cops would come!!! Ugh

It's going to be an in ground pool. 20'x40'
Don't ask, wife is NOT ok with a "normal proper sized" backyard pool.
And well, with the nickle diming (read 500/1000$) i've done over the years for the jeep. Those "wheeling it won't hurt anything. trust me honey." Well, I'm gonna need a new rear axle. I'm gonna need a new driveshaft. I bent a control arm. I bent my steering, etc etc.
So I got NO leg to stand on telling her she can't go big pimpin.

Basically the plan is knock over and get all the little stumps out now. At the end of October, going to rent something else again to try and transplant some trees. (mainly dogwoods, and two crepe/crape (sp?) myrtles)
I ain't digging them out by hand :)
Then November/December pay the guy to bring the big backhoe out, dig the hole for the pool, level and grade everything, put the retaining walls in.
Then let it settle until Feb-April (depending on temperature in the spring) and get the pool and concrete done.
Then once that's done I'm building my shed, (can't afford the lot beside us, so my idea for a garage mahal was shot down)
Then finish all the landscaping/planting either after the pool is done, or next fall.

Whitey, I'll shoot you a pm with address if you're bored and want to swing by. I will warn you, there IS poison ivy back there still. I've sprayed enough poison that the run off has killed my neighbors garden, (oops, and sorry if you come across this Mr Neighbor person  )

And for clarification, they're dropping it off the 19th. I'm measuring and marking everything on the thursday. I figure more detail than my purty MS paint drawing might be good.

Cheers

Renting that one at the end of October.
I'm pretty sure that I'll run out of time this time if I tried clearing everything AND moving the trees.
(Not to mention it's a bit early for transplanting still)

In case you couldn't tell, I'm looking forward to tearing stuff up with random pieces of equipment.
I DO need to get my RC truck working, but not going to have time for that I have a feeling.
Half an acre or more of bare dirt, and a bobcat? I need to have SOMETHING to make ramps for.
(and I'm to old and fragile to jump my bike etc)

Charlie, bring your ZJ over. I'm to cheap to jump my TJ. :D

a small trac-hoe is the tool for the job, i have almost 3000 hours on one, it would be perfect for the job. takes out the trees and the stumps, leaves everything nice and smooth (with the right operator).
