Take that Dave Ramsey!

4 years ago, my ex-wife ran off chasing pain pills. Burned me for over 75K before i could stop the bleeding.
Not including a 6K credit card debt at 26% interest in our oldest daughters name.
I made a solemn vow to be debt free before i turned 60.
I did it before i turn 59 in July!

Huge shout out to my support group who helped me do this.
I have never lived anywhere that i owned, it feels good.
This beer on the deck of my crib in Compton is the best beer i've ever had.

Fantastic! Sorry to hear about the previous issues, but really great to hear that you came out on the other side and following through on the plans you made! Well done!

Congrats Paul! I had my first starter house paid off, but circumstances convinced me to move. Then a bought a Great house for me, but it's double the size! I had money from selling the old house & a good job! Then came the recessions. Over 20 years, I lost 4 great jobs, due to recessions, bankruptcies, & economy melt downs. I'm doing well now, but I'll be lucky if I ever pay this one off!

When my company sent me overseas for the second time I came back and wrote the biggest check I have ever written to pay ours off. I didn't want to have any burden over my head if I wanted to change jobs. It is a great feeling to hand them that check! congrats
Just saw the Kings MTN location . reach out to a neighbor!

Thanks for the invite, asshole.

Congratulations Paul, Except for the wife’s 0% car, we’re debt free too. Great feeling that you never want to lose.

Keep Compton beautiful 🤩

Been chasing the same goal for a few years now, it is amazing the hurdles life can throw in your path. Great job, glad you even managed to finish early!

Congrats on the pay off. I paid mine off 2 years ago and it was one of the best things i done. It is great thing to wake up in the morning and not worry how you are going to make this months payment.

I had quite a few hurdles along the way.
Rise and overcome was my motto.
