well thats it for today...haha just to ease curiosity's the white and grey ares will be undercoated black so its just a sealer coat really but even so it will be all grey before then as this is only first coat...rain coming in tomorow...didnt want any o my hard work getting trashed...the light tan(Almond) color in the wheel wells is the color body is going to be...hope you enloyed...:cheers2:

ok so a quick update....have been in scub-a-dub-dub mode....not sure how many more time i have to scrub before i get it clean enuff for paint...i may wait till i have the tires (one week from saturday) the drag the chassis to the car wash.....cleaning the frame was easy but the motor was so, so nasty.....so nasty in fact that i decided to strip it to the block to make it easier to clean plus that allowed for a fresh coat of black on the brackets and pulleys etc...also there was copious amounts of silicone oozing out of all the gaskets anyways....gonna give the motor and trans a fresh coat of mopar engine turquois blue...as it originally was...os so on to the pics sorry they arent anything exciting....

fresh coat of paint on grill....
awww.supermotors.net_getfile_993305_fullsize_dscf1262.jpg

and a shot of the underside during the day for a better idea of what the body color will be(wheel well color).....
awww.supermotors.net_getfile_993306_fullsize_dscf1263.jpg

once all the brackets and what not dry will take more pics as usual the threat of rain halted my progress but it was like 7:30 pm anyway so oh well....
so thats it...lol

ok a little explanation right fast...the motor and trans in this jeep are in excellent condition save needin valve guide seals...the trans is actually a tf727 easily convertible to 4wd with 2 parts the according to "Advance adaptors" I should be able to bolt up a 231 t-case directly but that will require stretching the frame on this build(will splain later)...on to pics

ok just a few quick pics nothin fancy..ignore the unpainted vc and op...gonna do the op when i get the jeep running and up to the hoistin tree...and the vc this weekend...didnt want the motor opened up for that long...ok so on to the pics....
parts..lol

awww.supermotors.net_getfile_993933_fullsize_dscf1301.jpg

was amazed how clean the oil and inside of this little motor are...no sludge or grime and oil is clean and amber colored not black...i did however find what appeared to be pieces of broken black plastic...which turned out to be the valve stem seals(super easy fix) i think i even have a set that will work...yeeha score for me...lol....
awww.supermotors.net_getfile_993934_fullsize_dscf1302.jpg

awww.supermotors.net_getfile_993935_fullsize_dscf1303.jpg

ok well a few minor things like bolting the proportioning valve and reclipping brake lines and driveshaft and rear shocks...double check everything mke sure its good and tight then its back on with the body...going up to memphis this weekend to pick up some used rubber(nothing exciting just street tires) then ill be back on it hard next week will just be piddling over the next day or so got some yard work to do around here...lol

a prayer for the fallen jeeps...

As I drive this trail I have never drove
I will fear no obstacle
For my jack and strap they comfort me
My CB radio it connectith me
And the Toyota in front shall be stuckith before me
So I will fear no obstacle
Because I am protected by the love of my "JEEP"
Amen

so I took a minute to play with the big DJ today just getting an idea...have purchased all new gears carrier and install kit for front axle the rear is still awaiting parts but am trying to move forwards...and yes I know I need spring retainers...lol
so I took a risk and took it as high as I thought was safe considering jank way of jacking....so here ae the pics...I still think that the springs are way too stiff as they don't seem to drop out like I would have them but then I don't know if my arms are flexing either but the pics in prior post would suggest they are...hmmm...ok so on to the newest pics...
