I might be interested in the DIY as well. Does Al's liner come in colors other than black? I saw the Scorpion had any color.

The kits come with either black, light tan, or grey. If you want any other color I can get it for you. I'm working with a local paint shop to get the tints for other colors. I should have some info on that today.

Al's can be mixed with any paint tint mix to color match it to anything you want.

Personally, I don't care that much about the color, tan sounds good to me....but after 19 years of marriage, I just play along and let her pick whatever color she likes. I think color matching ups the ante, you could match the current color to mask any holidays. I am interested to see what you come up with.

I had to vote for line-x. I did my longbed 3/4 ton truck with the rhino liner place off capital blvd. It took 3-4 sprays and it still peals up really easily. They kept the truck for up to 18 days for an individual spray. It is sun faded, has large bubbles, and peals whenever a heavy load is put on it. The final time they even kept my receipt so that I can not get it resprayed again. I paid $450 and linex quoted me $500. Should have spent the extra $50.

For those interested, I can get any color you need. Just set up an account with a local shop today. Different colors come in a pint (you need a cup of tint for a gallon of liner, so enough for two gallons) and it'll run you about $40 extra. This is an exact match to any paint code for any vehicle. :)

went to your web sight ?
do your als kits come with the spray gun like all the pics show or are the guns separate ? what is included in the Kit ?
Thanks

I've had Herculiner in my Scout for the past couple of years and have been very pleased with it. The only places I've worn it off is a couple of spots where I carried very heavy objects like axles and motors. I can't compare it to other brands, but it's one of the better things I've done for the truck.

Question for any of you guys that stripped your surfaces down to baresteel, have you applied any type of metal etching primer in between the steel and liner? We use a product at work on the underside of our customers "driver-restorations" called SKS. It is the same product sprayed on the underside of Mercedes Benz made by 3M and we have had excellant luck as long as we prep the surface with a metal etch.

And for the record I voted Line-X, my brother and father both have 'em for 3+ years combined with zero complaints.

I am looking to do my Jeep with bed liner I learned one thing from reading this post that Blaze you ran a company into the ground then you say you are now a salesperson for a company that has the same type of products of the company you was running into the ground sounds like a poor way of doing bussiness to me.

Great, another post insulting someone whilst not being able to use proper punctuation or grammar.
