I've done some reading on the web, but has anyone here had personal experience with watering a large area with a trash pump or clear water pump?

I will need to irrigate our booster club soccer fields starting next week from the pond next door. I'm having bermuda planted.

I have built systems designed around pumps drawing from lakes. But not using trash pumps, I bought pumps for the system. Also I'll only be on sporadically tonight but will be back later or in the morning.

I just pulled the trigger for my buddy to pick up this from Northern tool tonight. I figure a high pressure pump will work much better. I have a long distance and need to push as many sprinklers as possible.

I have a 1" horrible freight pump at the creek for irrigation and waterfall refills at the barndo. I have it hooked to a 5 way valved manifold with one of the 5 open for purging.

When watering it would clog the sprinklers up after 5 minutes so I had to install an inline filter

I learned the trick was to remove the filter, crank the pump up and let the sandy stuff run out unfiltered thru the purge valve for a few minutes, then replace the filter and then open the valves to the sprinklers

94 psi and 135 gpm will do a lot depending on pipe sizing and elevation. I thought you were going to use an electric pump. You should design around about 70% of the psi and gpm. I'm thinking you're going to run as many as possible at once rather than zoning the system and using a controller?

Yeah, this pond is on an adjacent property. No access to power. It's also not a permanent solution. Mainly to get the new seed started and get through the first season of growing. With all the money I've put into the field, it's worth the minimal investment. We don't have the budget for real irrigation at new moment.

Yes, planning to run a many stand sprinklers as i can. I have a well head in the other side, but it's only capable of 1 or 2 sprinklers at a time. Goal is to get out there for an hour or so every day and water the shit out of it.
