Thought I'd post up this quick little project.
Didnt cost anything but time really.
20.00 amazon tv wall mount
12.00 for iron mantle holder upper thingies
14.00 bag of thinset
16.00 for multi outlet/Serge protector
Free rock
Cedar cut from my trees
About 10 hours labor spread over 3 evenings.
Started by removing old sheet rock and wall paneling. Crooked studs are factory!
Then I added extra studs for my tv wall mount. Then I hung dura rock to the lower half and temporarily positioned my cedar mantle from my trees!
Next, I cut the upper sheet rock and paneling to fit and re hung it
Added the wall mount and surge protected outlet box. I kind of hid the wires.
Started sawing, and stripping cedar logs.
Framed the fireplace with 1x3 cedar planks and started laying rock!
Finished product!
