square drive wood screws?

Square. They sell them at Lowe's. But I use nails whenever I can because

I built my whole shop with Phillips heads. Yall need to hit the gym. Keep good pressure on the drill and they'll be fine. Bosch makes a bit with serrated edges, and they bite really well, but I was too cheap to buy them, so I went through about 20 cheapo Dewalt bits.

I'm not a big square drive fan, they are just too small. But I love the torx stuff and will use it on all future projects. I only used the Phillips on the shop because I had one of the 30lb cases sitting around and it had 29lbs remaining.

Everybody (including me) bitches about Phillips heads screws either stripping out or the driver popping out of the head.
Irony: Mr Phillips, when he designed his fastener, *specifically designed it so it would pop out to avoid over-torquing the fastener*. E.g. it's designed to be sacrificial or frustrating.

I like a the torx as well. I've used about 7 of the 25 lb boxes  on my house remodel with 2 Dewalt impact bits. I think I prefer them over square drive. $700 is a hard pill to swallow for screws through.
