Starting plans for ROCKVEMBER!!

Let me start by saying I had a great time last year and I plan on coming back this year. scheduling is a MUST, at the rock crawl last year when the truck broke a axle then a hub at the top if we would have had the tractor we could have saved the truck from flopping. So scheduling is a MUST.
Yes we definately want to be a bit more organized this year... Last year was a huge learning process for me so that was something that I noted had to be taken care of is a specific event schedule...So far for the events, from 11-4 on Saturday, there will be the championship finale for the mud racing series...others I would like to add is an amateur mud race, rock crawl, drag strip pull, possibly an offroad race...anything I'm missing? Also, Would it be safe for everyone to schedule some of the events on Sunday to spread it out a bit?

I didn't have a chance to make it out last year. But am defiantly going to make it out this year. I am putting this on my clubs schedule.

I mean if you wanna focus on Competitions with the Event and do all those mentioned above you might as well could make it the Rick Hendrick/SE Custom 4x4 Fall version of the May Jam, that'd be pretty cool - only issue is that it takes away from anyone's trail time - pretty much forces participants to either watch the Comps or Ride Trails, because with all the comps your talking about that fills bout every hour of the weekend. Spectators will watch the comps regardless.

Think you need to decide weather you wanna focus on a Racing/Spectator Event like The May Jam is, or more of a Participant/Wheelers event like the last Rockvember Event was.

Either Way, It aught to be even bigger/better than last year :smokin:

a Beater Car Race, Some jumps, Mud, Mabye even a Beater car Grudge Pull. Ill Enter LOL

Well I mean, I'm just saying if you're going to have so many competitions in the same weekend it will cut into people's trail time. You gotta decide weather you wanna schedule in Trail time for people, or just run the events and let folks decide between competing/watching the competitions or going and trail riding.

Schedule events and let people decide what tyhey want to watch. Have the finals in the evening. Just don't have too many events.

"Your Mom does a grudge pull over rocks in your best friends rig blindfolded while talking on the phone event" up next!!!

Thanks for the help guys I really appreciated it!! So far, for the kids, I would like to do a neon painted lug nut hunt, and also do a projection screen with the movie "Cars" or something like that... Definately want to have the "Club" section closer to everything...maybe down in the outskirts of where the bonfire/concert was? Friday night we will probably have a meet & greet/truck show off/Sled pull...I'm going to check with PIAA Lights since they were with us last year and see if they want to sponsor a night run for everyone after the sled pull on Friday night...Also, we've been asked about having a side by side mud race!! I'll definately be checking on that one...we will more than likely be doing the amateur mud in the morning on Saturday since we'll be having the pro series championship finale from like 12-4...We've talked about having a poker run or capture the flag event during the pro mud race as well to keep the non mudders going!! There will still be a concert and bon fire on Saturday night and rock crawl under the lights until we are shut down...We will be having hooters girls taking donations from the drivers of the amateur mud race and the rock crawl under the lights!! They will also be roaming thruout the crowd at those two times and the concert as well which of course the monies will be going straight to the benefit again of Operation Homefront...Any other ideas, keep em coming!!

Please don't let the hooters girls wear the orange shorts. The shirts are fine, but those shorts suck! Oh, and lose the stockings too.

Hahah, no but you are if you like those 70s outfits!

So you don't like the outfits
