I know there are guys on here that have to wear steel toe boots on a daily basis. What kind do you wear? Ive got to get a new pair and Im tryin to shop around and I stand on concrete for ten hours a day so comfort is a big issue. I already own wolverine durashock and I HATE them.

i've worn carolina boots for 10 years now i love them

Red Wings

I have composite toe so I don't have to take them off when going thru the metal detector. If you have a narrow foot, stay away from Converse.

I had a pair of timberland pro's that I loved. Tried to get another pair and they seemed different, so I did not buy. Now I'm wearing my old faithful Justin pull-ons.

Red Wings hands down.

I've worn most of the others, Wolverines, Georgia Boot, justin, CAT, Rocky, Carhartt, etc. and Red Wings are the best ones I've ever had.

I like the Rocky 8" steel toe boots, I think they are called alpha force or something like that. Only come in black though, I know alot of people prefer tan boots for dirt work though.

I'm a big guy 255 lbs, and up ladders and crawling around under wings. I used to wear Wolverines but the sole always split across the sole after while.

I've worn Wolverine Durashock for 15 years, my current pair is about 3 years old and due for replacement. I won't wear anything else it is the only work boot I have ever purchase where there is no break in. The are confortable from the day you buy them.

Georgia Boots...I've got 2 pairs and I'm going to buy another pair this weekend

A 120# spider monkey has no say as to what boots are comfortable......Are you even out of kid's sizes yet?:flipoff2:

Timberland Pro Series The ones i have are called the Pitt Boss. I'm on my 2nd set and love them. The first set lasted about 3 years of daily use. I only "have to" wear steel toes when i'm in plants but i still wear them everyday when working in the shop or around the yard. I even prefer to strap them up to go get the mail rather than my tennis shoes.

red wings

but one downside to mine - materials imported but assembled in america. I believe you can still get a 100% american red wing... not sure tho

I used to do a lot of outside work and now only wear these for the woods. Keep my feet warm and are comfortable.

Been wearing steel toes for 13yrs. I had 1 pair of carolinas that I liked about 8yrs ago and a couple pair of timberlands. For the past 5yrs its been Red Wings and I haven't strayed since. I spend 13.5hrs a day in them, get a new pair about every 10mos. They last alot of other guys quite a bit longer but the seat of their pants wear out alot faster too:rolleyes:

I have had numerous brands over the years. Timberland Pros are definitely nice, had two pairs, but they are made in China so I stopped buying them a few years ago as part of my personal protest.

I did find a pair of Wolverines that were very comfortable. I have no idea on the style but they have a traditional work boot look and a traditional sole (no cushy crap to wear out). I like they almost as much as the Timberlands so I intend on getting another pair when the time comes (pretty soon actually). They are US made so that suits me better than some of the alternatives. A buddy of mine just picked up a pair of Hi-Tec boots and loves them. I have personally never seen them before but he says they are also US made.
