steering gurus

It's not even close to hitting the stops either way :(. I haven't moved them in or out since I've had the 60 so I'm assuming they are still in their stock location.
Love the winch! Works great, used it today actually. I"ve had about 5 pulls on it so far, no trouble.

After what you mentioned to me in the PM's, I would try the longer pitman arm. I doubt the pump was causing the problem because it would have started to bind up in both directions then.

<---sitting at the house watching fuel TV...anyone down for heading to flipside or Macado's?

Actually working on it now...Pitman arm has equal travel both ways with the drag link disconnected..getting stumped over here. Gonna throw it on jackstands and see what else I can find. Feel free to stop by and enlighten me.

Did you say stumped?^^^

Pitman arm sizes don't vary in sizes that much. you either have to shorten the distance from C of king pin to drag link or lengthen C of sector shaft to drag queen. Can you stack the DL on top of the tie rod.

I went out and disconnected the drag link, measured alot, and shortened it up a little bit. At full lock each way the stops are about 1/2" off the C now. Way better than it was. I just need a little fairy to come replace my pump for me now:shaking:

I "think" I could stack the DL on the TR John but I'd like to keep it how I have it if possilble. Seems like alot of stress to have the DL and the TR stacked on the same bolt, hopefully I can leave it how it is. However, it may come down to that. Once the pump is fixed, I'll be able to tell alot better. Looking into a ram to help out my stock pump, what size ram are you using..2x8"?
