Stock height XJ largest tire

Why such wide tires?

Mud and sand are basically the places this thing will be going. Not really any rocks. Also, my 3 year old boy wants it to be a monster truck and these are the best option to make him happy and do what I need it to do. I've ran 33 10.5 15s on my previous trail rig and am a huge advocate for skinnies, but since this isn't my daily, I can try new things.

Cut the fenders and removed the bumper end caps today. I got the rubicon express 3.5 lift front and rear springs as well as their 3.5 lift shocks ready to install. New C8.25 sitting in the back. Pro comp 15x8 with 4.5 inch backspace wheels and STS2 33 13.5s ready to go as well. Hopefully by next saturday I'll have this wrapped up.

Tires are on the wheels. Won't be long now.

New drivers front U joint in, all springs and shocks are in, tires are on.

Took it for a test drive and I have some slight "popping" on deceleration. Trying to figure that out now. Looks like the rear is a limited slip... wondering if that's why it's popping...

Have a few little bits left but this is how it sits now. Had to give her a bath for the following pictures.

Recommendation: cut and fold the rear quarter before they get crushed. It's worth it. Especially if you end up going to an aftermarket or custom rear bumper. My $.25

Not crawling with it anytime soon, but I was planning on doing that beforehand. Thanks for the heads up

Just dropped the transfer case an inch, adjusted the steering stops, and installed extended sway bar end links. Gonna drill the track bar bracket to compensate for the drift over, then get an alignment.

The trackbar drop brackets are like $18 FWIW

Don't do that unless you're running a drop Pittman arm. It'll make bump steer. Adjustable track bar with replacement double shear frame side bracket, for the right fix. Drilling another hole is ok too, if you got enough room.
I would say go ahead and get the iron man trackbar, bracket and brace. It is beefy as hell. The track bar also has a ton of threading on it.

On the second picture what looks like a crack is just where the paint ran.

Is that a brace that runs to the opposite uniframe rail? If so that's an awesome upgrade design!!

Yup it does. I like to think it also helps to beef up the front especially since I have steering box brace. Best picture i have of it.
