Storm Damage

The wife and I had dinner on High Point Rd at 40 around 5:30, then headed back to Winston. Ran thru some rain, but nothing like what hit just a few miles away from where we were eating.

Pretty bad what we were blessed to miss!

Salisbury was under tornado watches/warnings until 8 last night. At most I got about a 5 minute shower. But my folks were heading back from the hospital in forsyth and my mom said the drive was absolutely terrifying.

So I guess the tornado thought to itself "Target acquired. Touchdown initiated. Oops, wrong kind of trailer park. Abort!"

Myself and my neighbors lost many trees. The wind came across Mt Island lake and once it hit the shore our trees started falling. At least I have a better view of the water now

I was driving home from Gastonia in the worst of the rain/wind. Rained a ton, but wind never got too bad.

Damn eric! My harbor freight carport folded up but luckily the tractor was in the yard. Were you home when it hit? Cant imagine feeling that helpless
