Stuck in a third world country tonight.

I was deployed to Tajikistan and volunteered at the hospital there and talk about 3rd world, I bet Lee county looks like the Mayo clinic by comparison! I hope your mom's doing well and feeling better soon!

I would have crawled to unc before going to cch.

Our first choice is usually Moore (First Health). But...amberdances for whatever reason were backed up today, and they couldn't take her out of the county (sometimes they will if not busy). We had to wait 45 minutes for an ambulance to come pick her up off the floor. And lee county is small--about 10 miles in any direction to the county line.

Also...her BP was bottomed out and they couldn't give her morphine for the pain until she got to the ER...so they had to reposition, pickup, transport with no pain meds. EMS guys were great though...except they turned the wrong way out where they parked at her facility, and had to run over the same speedbump twice.

The EMS was kind of entertaining, as they had a newbie on the job. They put her in charge, asked her to evaluate and develop a plan...her deer in the headlights look was priceless.

Sorry about your mom DP

Hope she recovers well and you guys get her some comfort

Cant say I know about Lee county, but @ncsutj can attest that hospital in kannapolis is quite a people watching event and side show for those unfortunate enough to be stuck there for 18+ hrs in the waiting room
