Looking for a set of decent seats for my jeep. Not looking to bust the bank so I'd like to stay in the $250 range.
Currently running Corbeau Fat Bob's? or like that. Considering having them redone.Do they have a certain brand in their currently? The mounting dimensions are different for different seats and brands, if that matters?
Id recommend Corbeau Ultra XPs, but they are out of your price range. Depending on what is in there, they might also be too tall.
This is a good a thread as any to ask for some advice.
My dad is running a postal route as part of his 'basically retired' job. And he's having some back pain and such from the factory seats in the Cherokee that he uses from the lack of butt cushion and lumbar support.
He needs a seat that he can get in and out of easily, since he has to take out a gazillion Amazon packages and put them on doorsteps, but also something that is firmer with more cushioning. He's a big fella, probably 280, 6'3".
Any suggestions?
6’3” and 280? Sell the XJ and buy a WJ limited with comfy leather seats

How much of a project do you want? You could likely take the factory seat and put a higher density foam back in it.
PRP and Corbeau make adjustable seats with lumbar, that will work in the cherokee. Not sure they will be right for what he wants.
My suggestion is have him sit in a number of vehicle seats. If he finds one that he finds comfortable, then figure out how to swap it in the xj.
Look for a set of swivel seats from a 72' Cutlass! That's a really good idea.
To the junkyard we shall go!
I'd say any type of Mini-van. Ride good, most have good seats, & you just step in & out, with very little bending. Plus all the room for packages & easy access. This is a good a thread as any to ask for some advice.

I've never had a seat with lumbar, that is correct for me. I use a blow-up air cushion, for back support. How much of a project do you want? You could likely take the factory seat and put a higher density foam back in it.
