any noticeable difference with the tons? more stable, heavier/harder to climb?
Only difference I can tell is that the whole buggy seems to work better now. :burnout:
 
Putting in the JB conversions outputs first?

No gotta save up for those, but I'm not to worried. If the 27 spline outputs on the toy case have held up so far then I don't see why the 27 spline 300 outputs won't hold up just as long.

There lies the issue; you're compairing superior Toyota parts to ... eh em....jeep parts:flipoff2:

It'll be nice to have front digs but not only are the outputs weak I believe the cases were built out of recycled egg shells. Friend of mine broke a few before he built a band clamp to wrap around the case and bolt together. IIRC that case was broke when @SPOA87YJ bought it but it was still working due to the clamp.
 
Really, really consider doing a 32 spline rear output while you have it apart.
I know about budget, timeframe, etc, but they break in a stock CJ with much less power and gear in front of them.

Jody and Josh are correct!

I've replaced every stock part on my case. With low gears under high torque the gears want to spread apart much like a pinion walking off the ring gear except the case just splits near the shift rails.

32 f/r outputs, 1410/1350 u bolt yokes, 4:1, flip kit, custom band clamp, mounting plate, and mount/X-member. (Should have bought Atlas )

Chris may have a picture of the mount he made but if you plan to stick with that case I'd spend the money before you put it in.
 
Well the Atlas went in. Took it to Dixie Run to tset it out. I'm really liking the new gearing options and I used the front dig a time or two on a couple sharp turns. All that and the piece of mind with it being a strong case made the upgrade worth all the work.

And you're missing a rear axle flange bolt. I've sheared all the bolts(both sides) out of a full float axle in the same day, needless that was a BAD day. Glad the rig is working good.
