I saw CMPD driving one on mt holly rd in Charlotte today. Was going to snap a picture until I saw it was them.

Hell they do that already where I live. I'm surrounded by sheriffs and people seem to pass them on the blacktop like its no big deal. When i was growing up, you didn't want to meet one on the highway... Of course that's a little different i guess when you're "too young" by manufacturer specs to be driving them anyway.

I was at the stoplight at New Bern Ave and Trawick, 4 guys on dirt bikes came running through the intersection running through red light like it wasnt nothing.

They aren't more relaxed. They just have a clearer legislation on the topic. They're actually more stringent than in the USA. IMO

You have to change all the exhaust system for a quieter / EU approved unit (lower DB level) and lower the engine output to 20 Kw (which is a joke).

Adds about 2 to 4gs to the cost of a quad, and you can only convert brand new units.

Local DMV says they are aware this is coming and preparing ..... whatever that means.....

The dimensions they list are all basically 1 under a roxor and will exclude any sxs. Almost 100% guarantee they will have a list of blocked vin numbers already in the system that excludes anything from polaris, can am etc just like they have with dirtbikes.
 
oh joy, more slow sh!t clogging the roads and slowing traffic with the liquorcycles, all to increase tax revenues w/o consideration of motorists and the government's p!sspoor road planning. ;)
 
So if SxS's don't fit the criteria, WTF good is this law for? What extra vehicles currently not allowed on the roads are they talking about allowing? I'm lost.

What is a Modified Utility Vehicle?
 
So this law is strictly about allowing Roxor's on the road? WTF? I smell lobbyist money moving to politicians pockets.
