yea i was told that they were crushing them as is. i couldnt believe they werent parting them out. the only bad thing was the frame
 
They are being very strict that everything goes to the crusher. Its a shame. They have been plenty that had great parts/engines/accessories etc that couldve been used. But off limits!
 
Just got back, no rust found. Took 45 mins for that assesment.

i don't know. VIN starts with a "5" and build date was 12/00.

my frame looks good on the outside and feels good on the inside from what I can tell. i was mainly concern about getting it on the list for the future.

is yours the 95-00 body style or the 01-04 body style?

This has been on long enough that all the 96-00 Tacos w/ rusted frames have magically disappeared from the market.

2ND generation and US built. Letters were being mailed out starting Mid December. They are doing them in waves. If you have a problem with the frame then contact your local dealer and they can speed things up for you. If not just wait on the letter and hang on to it.

So you are saying I do have a US built frame? How do you know for certain? Also since I'm not the original owner I don't think I'll get the letter?

You should receive a letter. I`m not original owner of my 96 but got the letter.
 
If registered you should get the letter. It has to be registered in order for the CSP to be applicable. I know it is a US built vehicle because of the VIN starting with a Number. This indicates where it Originated. Number is US built. Letter "J" is japanese built.
