I've been there many a time. Stay in control on the white line. You might die or at a minimum see your life flash before your eyes.

Been a long time but I used to race it 4-5 times a year. It is a wicked road.

The roads are overrated. There are just as good of roads with less people on them elsewhere in NC.

Put a lot of high dollar suspension parts on your bike before you go so the regulars won't look at you like a newbie. Or show up on a bone stock bike, smoke them and leave them wondering.

I live close to this route and have run this road many times and the speed limit is 55 (only a few places you will be able to exceed it)

Somewhere I have a photo of me dragging my knee and the valve cover of my 1975 BMW R90(S) that I built the piss out of on the Dragon. Damn, those were the days.

Somehow I managed to get the last Daytona race cam shipped from Germany despite export restrictions. On occasion, I can still hear it idle in my dreams.
