Tapping on a masterlock

I have tried 2 Masters, but cannot reproduce...

I think the key is have enough tension for the friction to hold the locking pin/plate back, but not so much that the tapping prevents it from being withdrawn from the slot.

I have 6 locks identical to the video. Tried 2 this morning. No luck. Its kind of a moot point though, bolt cutters aren't very expensive and quieter than a hammer.

Yeah, I tried it at lunchtime. Maybe my hammer was too big (thats what she said), but I couldn't do any pop-n-lock-n.
