so i bought a rust free 87 k5 blazer with a tbi 350 and a 700r4 for $800 about 6 months ago. needless to say it needed a motor and trans although it still ran and drove descent just made some bad knocks. so about 2 and a half months ago i jerk the motor and trans out and sold it to a buddy of mine. i bought another motor and trans (90 model 350 tbi. and a built 700r4 after being able to test drive it. me and a few buddys spent this whole past weekend puttin everything togother and dropping it in. get ready to fire it sunday night. and BAM no fuel comin from the tank or anything comin out of the injectors. no keep in mind this ran and drove when i pulled it apart a couple months ago. ive tested the fuel pump good with a direct 12v source, changed the fuel pump relay and the oil pressure switch. still nothing, i have power to the injectors. but the pump want run when the key is cycled and nothing comes out from the injectors. can anyone tell me if i may have over looked something? im positive everything is plugged in. im making my brain hurt trying to figure this out.

Do you know anyone in your area that runs a tbi system and is VERY familiar with it's operation?
Like me you dumbass?

Do you have any fuel at the throttle body when you take the fuel line off? Injectors are bad about the solenoid freezing up with all the moister from ethanol fuels if a vehicle sit for an extended amount of time. Also open the fuel tank and listen through the fill cap if you hear like a pouring sound. The hose that goes from the fuel pump to the fuel pump hat is bad about cracking and leaking causing no fuel pressure at the throttle body.

TBI systems aren't that complicated but most just don't know where to start and just rip it out and put a carb on it.

This is the one he's talking about.

I need to double tap on the schematic, do you have injector pulse? Or access to some noid lights so you can check it? If you do have injector pulse it rules out an ignition module.

Have you blown compressed air through the fuel lines to make sure they aren't clogged because they can get rusty inside if it sit for a little while. And just to confirm if you put power to the fuel pump you can get fuel to throttle body or atleast the fuel filter on the frame rail.

can get fuel to the tbi just not out of the injectors. with direct power to the pump

Ok you need some noid lights, I wanna say part stores have some through the loan a tool program. That will tell you if you have injector pulse. But it really sounds like you've got a messed up circuit going to the fuel pump

im thinkin its a harness problem. i work as a mechanic at a shop in kings mountain, just never ran into this before. it just seams weird it all happened all at once

You put another engine in it, maybe you pinched a wire somewhere. I know the ignition modules give them a lot of trouble, but if you have injector pulse it rules that out

also gonna say that i replaced the distributor, fuel relay, oil pressure switch, changed the fuses, and checked the grounds

pinched wire is very possible

Yeah you're gonna be chasing wires I'd make sure part of the harness isn't pinched by the bell housing. I've got to clean up the wiring on my k5 and replace some connectors.
