Teaching my kid to weld... Good Times

My wife and son got home from the airport from him seeing a liver specialist in pittsburg on Friday and the first thing he says when walking in the door is "I wanna work on the jeep dad" I think that's better than my wife saying "lets get this over with so you will not keep bugging me about doing it" :D c

Sorry to hear he had to see a liver specialist. I hope everything is going to be ok.

I assume after a comment like that you went to work in the Jeep. LOL. It's awesome when the kids want to put in work. Enjoy it. My kid is not as interested as I would like. I think he will more as he gets past the Xbox age. Haha

ohh since Friday we have changed wheel bearings on all four corners, new starter,re-trussed 4 link crossmember and removed 2 coils from all four springs and relocated shock mounts to accomidate for shorter springs!!! the boy likes to be in the garage. He turned 5 last weekend. As far as liver goes he will need a kidney and liver transplant but it will be probally 5 years before that time. So we wait! which sucks.

My hat is off to you sir! My son is only 13 mos old, but I plan on having him in the garage with me as much as possible when he is old enough. Even if they go to college and get a degree in something, it's good to have a trade to fall back on. Look at how many graduates are working at MCD's. I bet their parents never spent time to teach them anything useful like this! Already had him helping me rotate the tires......
