The Discovery Project

of all the colors of discos that i could have come across last on here last night, yours just had to be green like my lil one... well ill admit you got my dick in the dirt son. all i can say is at least my abs still works and i can run 80- how about you?? lol

I disabled my ABS a long time ago. The Rover ABS system is downright dangerous offroad...You'll find that out when you see some tougher trails. :flipoff2:

I don't see any reason why mine won't do 80mph if I wanted to. I've set my castor on my front 60, I'm gearing down accordingly to match the tire size, and gain some numbers in the crawling dept.

To add some tech to this. I'm working on getting another steering shaft, and I'm going to remove my body lift to drop the overall height 2" and gain a little with my COG. I'm going to keep it as low and wide as I possibly can. I'll be running the 39.5's with 5" of lift.

Yeah the ABS is a bit of a pain, not just on tough trails, but in the rain around town. Then again super swampers arent exactly all season radials either.

So you are running 5in springs now? If youre body lift is complete and you want to sell it let me know, I may be interested. Im with you on keeping the low COG, a Disco looks cool but from the factory they are at a disadvantage in that department.

I'm running 16" Coilovers. I'll be selling it, complete, with a steering shaft that has been already modified, so it's a complete bolt in deal.

hey whats up greg, sorry if i am forgetting something obvious here, do i know you? i actually made 6 wheeling trips this year, 5 to uwharrie. ive been on a trail or two i suppose. :bling:

don't think I know you...

I was harassing Jon about not wheelin his junk...I thought that's who Ivan was talking to....

but, just for info...where was the 6th trip?

Greg

there is a big land rover meet in october every year on this huge peice of private land in VA. not as many rocks as uwharrie, but lots of steep narrow trails, water crossings, shit like that.

nah, i was talking to joel (crown14). i don't know the hippy:flipoff2: not that i have any room to talk with my current hair, lol.

you and he should have alot in common actually, he's coming into 4 wheeling from previously having nice, clean performance vehicles and probably thinking we were all crazy.

This is actually a real picture, even though it looks comically close to an MS paint drawing. I plan to rework the handles since their currently placement will be chopped off.

And of course my favorite for summer days. Doorless.

did i miss the details on your wheels somewhere? look like 12 bolt hummers with new (soft 8 look alike?) centers?

i see you got jordans old doors, if the tint hasnt turned purple i might could use those door glasses...

if you need any random rover parts let me know. i dont technically work for Rover Clubhouse anymore but I go by there pretty regularly. i can get new parts for you too.

BTT

Hey, where did you get those yellow doors with dimond plate from?? They look a lot like another highly modified Disco i know that is doorless because of a cage. Nice rig anyway!!! Lets see it on the trail.

looks Good man:driver: lets have some pics of it in action

so did you sell it and get the D90? what now?
