Progress photos. I'm going to round the top of the drawers to eliminate the rough edges. Off to get some bedliner to put on the top, drawer faces, face frame, and front cover.

Just put the cargo tie-downs in and snapped some finished photos.

Some things I wish I had done differently:
+I wish I had narrowed it up a quarter inch; as it is, it absolutely won't budge which is great, but when I need to take it out, it will be difficult.
+Herculiner is awful for you and smells bad when drying, but it turned out good. I think I would have let it sit out of the truck for a few days before putting it in. I've been airing it out for two days.
+I'm going to wish I had used recessed tie downs.
+I didn't need the extra drawer pulls, the rubber ball grips work great for pulling them out.

Overall I love it. I've got some foam inserts I am going to cut to keep tools in place while wheeling.

Also those are full 30" drawer slides with 250# ea (500# per drawer) capacity.
 
that turned out great. It would be neat to add a flip up lid, over the wings, so that you could stick some straps or something in that area too.
I agree, there are little pockets of space here and there and some hidden hinges could conceal a few small storage bins.
 
So today I swapped springs and shocks and tracked down the issue with the lockers. At Harlan I had no front or rear lockers which was incredibly frustrating. I had swapped out the diff covers, and apparently the ruffstuff covers are actually shallower on the carrier side away from the ring gear. This caused the locker air line to compress ever so slightly and create an air leak. I went ahead and replaced the air line while I was in there. The rear springs are definitely sagging and the shocks just aren't dampening the way they should (considering they're the factory springs and shocks). Got the front done and will knock out the back in the morning.

Got some work done on the tow rig last week. Bryan gave me his old air helpers and I built brackets for them to fit on the Sterling. I'm spring under now and the leafs are in a different place so it took some fab (I know some of the welds are ugly. It's all in compression so it just has to keep it from moving). I love the Sterling rear, it truly is one less thing I have to worry about.
