The Go-Faster than Sams Buggy build

i know its taken you awhile to get yours to this point rob but think about how long its going to take sam to finish his at the pace hes going haha... nice new progress though sam

I pulled the 22re that blew up on me all completely apart to investigate the issue. It turned out to be a spun bearing in the bottom end.
The plan is to get some parts ordered this week to get the donor motor all prepped for installation.
I'll try to make this quick so I can get some pics of it hittin the trails instead of the garage! :)
 
Donor motor, donor truck that will get a 22r and become the parts hauler and Robbies junk with Adams Flatfender project stacked on top.

Alright well trans and tcases went back today. Tomorrow the motor will be dropped in with new clutch, valve cover seal, oil pan seal, rear main, fuel filter, exhaust manifold and gasekt and some more....
Anyways rollin coal soon hahah and hitting the waterfall at mt city asap for sure!!!
 
Well Stretch requests updates, new clutch, rear main, oil pan seal (leakin and is a chance for inspection of lower half of motor), fuel filter, throw out bearing.
Motor dropin in tomorrow and I'm pretty excited. I haven't felt like working on it but it needs harlan bad next weekend.

I was thinkin today...and its funny how one year ago I was bustin ass to get a 22re motor in my truck to make it to fall crawl at harlan. One year later...doin the exact same thing.
Lifes funny...but not that funny.
 
look so fast!!! It's actually faster than fast !!! So so so crazy fast!!!! I heard they made a new class Z in ECORS for this thing because it was so fast !!!

Where did you get that motor?


I painted the intake and valve cover like that on the engine I had in my 4Runner.

I sold that motor to a guy in the Winston area
 
So I cranked the motor over tonight...sounds awesome. Its going to take some more time this week getting everything done before the weekend.
This weekend is the last chance for Callantee in a while or forever....
But a little work and it shall happen...happen the waterfall maybe :)

Also...I really think the picture of the whole case of coolant that the truck will take needs to be added to this thread. :lol: That 22R better have icesackles hanging off it.
 
Hey stretch when you get a clutch you should get one...oh wait you already did.

Rear radiator for the win? Hate that I was passed out drunk and I missed the first crank of the new engine.
