The new(to me) tow rig is home

nice job chip. hope it serves you well. thanks.

It's the shaggin' wagon! Now all it needs is a sticker on the back. You know the kind...

We got the "new" seats from a 89 e-150 conversion van. The inserts used to be blue, but were sun faded. Had one small rip in the passenger seat where a seam had come apart, Leslie sewed it back up with fishing line. The old seats were very uncomfortable and swiveled at will. These things are very comfy!

Since this is for towing and camping, we built the bed with storage underneath. As of now it has:
EZ-up canopy, propane stove, 2 chairs, 2 lanterns, fold out pic-nic table, 2 coolers, propane tree for multiple hook ups, There is enough room to put a 20lb cylinder, the buddy heater, and a few other things in there.
In the front(mid van) you can lift the lids under the mattress and there is storage there for food, cloths and so on.
Still more ideas running thru my head. Like maybe giving the van the same paint job as the Heep, we already have bought a 16X20 Tarp, one of the heavy silver ones, to go over the van and act as a porch/awning type thing so you can get out of the van in the rain and not have to get wet. We have a 2000 watt inverter, but have not hooked it up to see if it works yet or not. A roof AC unit, if I found one at a decent price, if not that at least a roll up vent in the ceiling for ventilation. I also have a 12V water pump I thought might be handy if we are not at a full hookup place but had a water source like a creek.
We are also going to add a curtain behind the front seats for privacy as well.
The Van has a place for another battery, so that would give extra reserve for our 12V cooler. I also added a quick connect thru the grill so I can hook it up to the Heep for charging. The CJ has 3 Optima red tops and quick connects for the Ready Welder, so that along with the 160 amp alternator will provide easy re-charge, and added supply at nights.
