Got my van home tonight.

http://www.nc4x4.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13026

Have a few bugs to work out.

Lost tail pipe on the way home
Rear signals not working, right=nothing, Left, both flash. I figure something in the trailer wiring

Sputtered on me once, I thought out of gas, but it only took $25 to fill it up. I figure about 11MPG
Speedo off, mile marker to mile marker should be 10 tenths, only scoring 8/10
so I am thinking a size smaller in tires.
It needs tires anyway.
Gonna have to get some new seats, the ones in it are worn, very uncomfortable, and swivel at will( don't lock)
Temp gage, and Gas gage not working.

I am very happy with the power, I think it'll do well towing my Heep.

Things to do other than what I mentioned above:
Take out that party couch, anyone need it???
Tune up, Change fluids, check out brakes, wiring and so on.

Oh well, another project!

Nice Chip! I think all it needs now is some vinyl graphics for the sides!! :D

Edit: which would make for a very good comp here on the board... design my graphic!

No way!!!!!!!!!! Besides actually having something to tow with, that's the coolest part of the van.

I guess in it's day it was cool, but, I want to stretch out back there after wheeling all day!

How's the switch feel? Good and positive on/off, or kinda mushy? Could be that, too.

Chip....I agree ....Go with the Scooby Doo "Mystery Machine" paint scheme and interior.

what happened to the party bus ?
Still have it, but in order to use it to tow with, it has to have an engine change. too much weight pulling it's self, and my tailer and Jeep too. 8 hours ride from my house to Tellico is not my cup of tea. Would be nice to find a lot up there to just park it for a place to stay!
Most likely we will sell it though.

Tellico Storage

I don't know about now, but one time before at Crawford's, he had some trail rigs and campers stored for some folks out of Florida.

But it's been awhile since I been down to Tellico.

Well. Saturday was productive. Here's what I got done:
New plugs, Plug wires, Distributor cap and rotor button.
Oil Change and filter
New belts
New fuel pump
New Air Filter
Ripped out Part couch, ice box, and cabinet
Vacuumed it out real good.
Painted walls (were beat up paneling, and dark)
Added a can of fuel treatment
New clutch fan

Old plugs were decent shape, but were worn, good news, none were wet or oily.
Oil had gas in it, so inside of engine should be clean. Was holding good oil pressure, holds about 25% better now

Friday had four new 225/75 r 16 tires installed

Noticed a very minor slop in front wheel, so gonna take it apart and check, re grease, or replace bearings

Found why left blinker was making both rear lights blink. When I took out party couch noticed they were wired together. Fronts work good, so it's in the wire mess under the rear, thats Sundays project

Gonna hit the salvage yards Monday to try and score some seats. Neither will lock( swivels) makes it hard to sit still in curves, besides very uncomfortable)

Hope to get the Aux. fuel tank re-installed Sunday as well. Previous owner took it out to clean out old gas.

Also Sunday if times allows, I am gonna get the trailer brakes and light hook ups working, and changed over to match my trailer.

Goal: To be headed to Harland Thursday Morning

Updates will follow. Though slow, due to old age and limited use of left arm, I want this all done and behind me. It's great to have a wife to likes to help! Thanks Leslie
