Thinking about putting together a group buy. Anybody want to join in? Or do y'all already all have yours?

I have one of those.
@Jody Treadway gave it to me.

Unfortunately it has some reverse Cinderella disease. It comes with an instruction manual that if you dont recharge it daily through this hassle called "work" it just evaporates...
piece of ripoff junk if you ask me.

Mine came attached to my birth certificate.

The real ballers get the: "must be nice" card and the "can't hide money" card

I'm confused, why is a black guy selling me a white card? Is it because the white guy sells the Mexican a green card? So then do the Mexicans sell a yellow card to the black guys?

I tease, but there's nothing more frustrating than owning a business, paying shitfucktons of taxes, insurance, unemployment, state, federal, local, greasing the right palms, only to still have to sit in the lobby of clients and demand payment so you can make payroll, only to have a "friend" tell you "it must be nice" when you buy a new vehicle to try and take advantage of a tax break that may keep you from going under because of a bad 3rd quarter

If you've been there, you feel what I'm putting out there. Sometimes saying fuggit and working a corner for spare change is pretty appealing

We've been paid after threatening a lien to the property owner, so F it.
We had a client who had worked for a reputable drywall contractor for years and years. Decided to open his own drywall biz and asked us to supply his first big job. A retail center in Newport News Va. Long story short, after delivering materials below market rate (helping out a friend, ya know) and ahead of schedule last October when building materials were impossible to procure, dude decides to stop answering calls, emails, texts, etc regarding us getting paid
Luckily, VA has killer lien rights for suppliers, so I had time to contact GC, PM and finally the owner/developer who absolutely didn't want a lien on his new stores
"Friend" never did acknowledge our attempts to contact him. GC is aware of it (Notice of Furnishing is a lifesaver) as is the owner.
Point is, while all of this was going on, we still made payroll to our employees. We still held our end of the bargain with our crew. All the while knowing if he sticks us, we will take the hit ourselves. We would incurr legal costs, lost time, etc. Oh, stress and lost sleep too.
But, yeah, it must be nice.
If anyone is looking for a reputable, new commercial drywall sub out of the High Point area, lemme know. I'll tell ya who can piss up a short rope.

Years ago I wanted to be in the salvage yard buisness pretty bad.Salvage yard permits are unobtainable in my county. The only way you can get in the junk yard buisness is to buy one.I didnt have a million $$'s to buy one and if I did why would I get in the junk buisness.I started out hustling junk on the side and working for someone else. Finally went all in on hustling parts about 05 or so.I started small and have stayed small and am glad I did.I know NC is different than TN but I'm glad I don't have to deal w all that BS..
