Got the drivers door lined up and the new window trim and roof rail molding installed. Hopefully have it buttoned up this weekend then over to my work for the suspension brakes and engine swap!
Well in typical fashion nothing ever goes as easy as planned. But she is finally ready to be hauled to my shop for the motor and suspension work. Since I will be off for thanksgiving and the Friday after I am going to put in a 3 day weekend wrenching and hopefully knock a good size dent in the rest of the work.
Very nice looking car! And looks as though that combination will make one nasty street car! A buddy of mine who builds fox bodies has a similar setup except his has a carbed 306 with a 200 shot. About the same HP #s, shooting and transbraking straight off the tree and has won many races with cars twice his power. A car that'll hook is a car that'll win.
^^Thank you sir. I am shooting for 450 rwhp the guy I bought the supercharger off of was making over 500 whp but I don't feel like splitting a stock block lol. With the suspension mods she should drive and handle pretty well. At least I hope so. I have adjustable upper control arms for the rear. Just need to buy some decent lowers and good rear diff bushings.
Got a lot accomplished today! Swapped out the rear brakes for the 5 lug stuff. Dropped the old engine and K frame out and swapped in the new K frame a arms and coil overs. All in all a good day hope to get the master cylinder installed and brakes bled tomorrow.
Shew after almost a 2 month Hiatus I've made several changes. Sold the supercharger system. 1 after calculating compression there was no way that a stock block with 10-1 compression would hold up to 12lbs of boost and 2 the stock T5 would probably take a shit the 1st 1-2 burnout. I also decided not to install fuel injection back on the car. ( just me being too lazy ) Got the engine installed and carb back on and re plumbed the entire fuel system. Also ran a new ground from the trunk to the engine. Installed a full MSD ignition and she is rocking and rolling. Slowing assembling the interior and still need to put the front clip back on. Also ordered a new SVO style hood.
