This....is why I am the way I am when given the chance to be that way.
I am not a terror on the roads, but I could be!:D Opened an early gift last night..I think it's probably one of my favorite gifts of all time.

How about you? What gave you the "drive" to drive?
 
Growing up, I wasn't into cars really. I always loved fishing and boating though and understood that driving to/from was a necessity.
On another token, my dad also taught me how to drive a '79 Chevy, big block, granny low k30 ex-service truck pulling stumps on our farm property when I was around 10 years old.

He also owned an early 80s suburban that he'd strap a canoe to the top of and wait until spring break for my sister and I to take us up to the mountains trail riding and canoeing. Memorable isn't even the word for it!
And that's that.

She's like my preference in jeeps....older the better...in new condition. Old jeeps are now rusted heeps.

Either or, nice 70's jeeps and hot chicks: out of my price range.

And I like being married so no test driving either.
 
I've always liked to drive. Had a 78 formula firebird in High school. Fixed and maintained it but never upgraded it. Husted u joint and heater core were the hardest things I did. First real fix was my sisters friends bug, replaced the clutch cable when I was 14 or 15. Bought my CJ to learn more about working on vehicles back in 96. Now found CORE and have upgraded ever since. Helped my son build his XJ. Now I am hooked and wish I had a shop with a house on some land. Instead of a 2 car garage in a HOA neighborhood.

yeah you can drive the shit outta anything with wheels.

HOWEVER, I can ski downhill faster than any Olympian simply because I cant steer or stop. so theres that...

maybe theres a little of that mixed in.
