If you were about to depart on a trail ride but the only stipulation was that you can only bring 1 tool what would it be? Don't be a gay with new rights and say a socket set or a multi-tool. I will allow a ratchet and one socket only. So for most XJ drivers it would probably be a 13mm or some other metric BS. GPS phones are not tools and neither are smartphones.

I would also like a reason why you chose it. I choose a scratch awl. I plan to stab John Fuller when my frustration boils over.

My one tool? My brain. I've never owned, borrowed, stolen or found a tool that has fixed more stuff or gotten me out of more tight spots that it has. It's always there when I need it and never breaks.

I win. :flipoff2:

12" channel locks. Works as pliers, a wrench, hammer, or pry bar. I'd sharpen a portion of it to work as a knife.

Other option is a hot chick. That way I could use her assets to get whatever I need.

Maybe bring John Fuller? He seems to be a good tool...

Bridgeport.

Need a screwdriver? Make one.
Need a wrench? Make one.
Need an allen key? Make one.

he didn't say anything about having stock.. .that's another tool :flipoff2:

Duct tape is like the force:
It has a dark side and a light side and it holds the universe together.

Divorce is the only thing duct tape won't fix. But it can silence it!

Have you ever met John?

This website offers an 'ignore user' option if you do not want to see anything he posts. I do not understand why so many people bitch and moan about other members. Just put them on your ignore list. I have two people on my ignore list and a couple others that i consider adding from time to time.

My answer to the question is vise grips.

i got to say john is a very nice person he dose what he dose because thats what he wants to do he learns his way and thats that. why do yall got to be asses about the way some one is. and i agree vice grips. i find my self useing them alot more the most.

I only bring one tool to bring to the trails when i ride.

It's a split decision between vice grips and channel locks.. all the plumbing work I've done over the years says channel locks, but I know vice grips are actually a more useful tool.

Could you explain what you could do w/ channel locks that you could not w/ large vice grips? I'm curious.
A good size pair can open almost as wide, certainly bigger than any bolt on a truck.
