hmmm.. I live about 15 minutes from Southern National, and I am fairly well-known locally for the 'odd' hobby that I have... and this is the first I'm hearing of it... no one, who I know around the area has heard of this... and I think I have a pretty good grasp of locals who have similar interests around here.


Seems as though "the business owner" would be trying harder to reach out to the local clubs/wheelers for support... Any chance you would have some contacts that I can talk to directly about this??? Or will I have to go through you bestest friend's cousin's uncle???:flipoff2:
 
There are alot of rock quarries in SC, tried any of them?

They are in the business of selling rocks, I wouldn't think that'd be real ideal if you want to save $$.

That is from csx web site. I guess they might make exceptions for millionaire oil company tycoons though. Hey I got a friend with some ocean front property in Arizona. If you hurry up and but this week he will throw in the golden gate for free. ( he and his wife both own golden gate making companys)

O well I got things rolling and help and ideas and info are pouring in from people who care to help. So to those few. THANK YOU!!!! Can't wait to keep working on gathering of materials. And dont worry about CSX. I got the whole thing settled. I got more old ties than i can handle for FREE so thanks. I am more into rocks and pipes etc etc. Have a great day everyone.

if your in with the guy i talked to at SNRP,he said he has everything under control,has a group of engineers handling the whole deal.("you cant just throw a bunch of rocks and have something,they need to be placed just right")its being built at the racetrack .daily rides for a fee.he said around April for completion.
just to see if its all legit,pm me his name and cell number which i currently have due to the 4 months of "i will be down tomorrow to pic up the motor that you have 4-sale.and guess what?no show, stopped calling and then wanted me to deliver the engine from thew hickory area to fayetville for no fuel money @ 4.00 + a gal.
then he called and wanted me to meet him half way ,so i agreed,made all arangments(took the day off from work,;loaded the motor .was ready to head out like agreed and he never answered my call.this happened twice.i have nothing good to say!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These guys sound like a bunch of tire kickers like I originally assumed. I dont know, I was worried about people not giving the benefit of the doubt to Doubghboy but I think there is good reason to judging from the history. Im sure we would all like to see it happen, but from the looks of things we have a guy who is searching for materials, has them ready to go (like your engine for instance) and then doesnt follow through. No wonder this is a childhood dream, its only taken 14+ yrs to complete.:poop:

news flash

The area i am talking about is not being built on or in the raceway or speedway. its a different location. I am working and trying to get this done for all of us. NO ONE wants to see this happen more than me so dont worry.

HERE IS THE DEAL ABOUT THE PAST:

there were 2 different times that i stumbled onto all the rocks a park could ever handle. i wheeled on them until they got hauled off. I had material and no land. Now i have land and no material. i am having to do a lot of research and followups to find all the old material so i can use it now on the new land. thanks.
