Those that can do, DO, those that can't, teach, those that can't teach, teach pE.

One of the best teachers I had was a PE instructor. Also taught health and fitness or some related other classes. Was a fitness nut and amateur body builder. Also a coach.

However, yes a lot fit this bill. Having taught and being married to a dedicated teacher, the good ones are more rare these days than just 10 years ago. Our education is just as bad as government right now. Its getting worse and both sides are developing sheeple and idiots at a phenomenal rate.

Sounds like somebody was watching East Bound & Down before they posted this...

I hated PE. I was that weird kid that hated changing into gym clothes everyday and being forced to play sports I hated.

I catch the drift on this one.

Wrestling was cool but JROTC was way cooler. F* a PE.

I only had 1 PE teacher, so I thought he was Neat! Young himself, friendly, & fair. I was a terrible ballplayer, soft ball or baseball. Always the Last picked. But I could strike out Good! One day we played soft ball & the PE coach was pitching. He watched me a couple times, then told me, "Swing when I tell you to". The first pitch, I hit a Home Run, & everyone's mouth , including mine, flew open! It was just timing. No one had ever taught me or helped me. I got pretty fair, after that! Thank you Coach McLauflin!

I had 2 kinds of PE teachers:

  • Obvious closet lesbian built like "Alice the goon" and wore sweatshirts and shorts year round
  • Douglas Shields: Who, despite being married to a yoga instructor at the YMCA that was hotter than Heather Locklear at the time, was screwing 3 of the cheerleaders in MY class back in the late 80's. But never got busted till 10 years later. And that was only because he showed the videos to one too many people. We ALL knew he was railing the cheerleaders. Hell, THEY were the ones bragging about it. Wasn't rumor or gossip.

Local Paper said:
Douglas Shields, was accused of videotaping himself having sex with two female students and showing the tapes to others. In 2001, Shields pleaded guilty to one count of disseminating obscene materials and one count of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor
