Too easy! And over time, a lot of sucking up, about any parent would forgive and move on. Me? If in fact the girls forced this on him, I myself would do all I could to convince the LE to charge them with the strongest thing they could make stick, and let them reap the benefits of their actions. More than likely, at least around here, they would either remove the girls, or remove the boy from the house hold. Which IMO should happen anyway.

Would you really do that and have your OWN child removed from your home (especially if this was the '1st offense')? I am sure that regardless this will be reported to DSS and they will handle it accordingly. What we don't know are the girls ages, I see where you are coming from that they need to be punished very severely. If I was the parent I'd love to see them locked up in jail for a bit to teach them a lesson, but trying to get them locked up for an extended period, I don't think you would teach them anything other than how to act like a criminal.

Sounds like really bad parenting to me (the boys parents not you @upnover )

YEs, bad parenting for sure!

But from how I read it, the girls are older, if they were able to hold him down, so, yeah they should know better. Yes someone should go, I think the girls, since he was the one injured. This is serious, when a kid does that, nothing like fighting with your brother growing up! For the boys safety, yeah, the kids should be separated. This of course is if in fact it happened the way the OP thinks it did.
 
I would think if this were a "challenge" type of thing, there may be some video on one of the kids phones, has anyone checked this?
