From the office, Nuvox, "split" T-1 where part used for speech/phone lines, other 1/2 for internet access.

LOL I think I'm blocked from speedtest.net, too bad I wanted to try it from the DoD netowork :huggy:

Parents house. They got the cheapest one. dont know what it is.

I dumped TW when i got laid off. I'd get ~7mb during the day at times, but after 3pm (schools out) speeds would drop to 3MB. So we got DSL 3MB and guess what, its usualyl 3.0-3.5 all the time :) AND its a lot cheaper.

Wife is complaining about no cable so when I things in order we may get TW back but DAMN its like $50 to get any of the decent channels. I'm waiting to see what the full digital switch does for new/different broadcasts in the area..

From our "tiny" 1G fiber direct to the W-S sonet ring... necked down thru the ASA to 360somethingMbs with 100 users online.

No doubt speedtest is throttling... Whatcha think? :flipoff2:

Lowest I found after trying a bunch of different US servers:

Just for kix:

You'll also note that unless everyone on here uses the same servers for benchmarking their area then we are comparing apples to oranges. Also note that I'm not sure if NC is still setup like it used to be (trace routes) but a lot of NC used to be routed through Atlanta while the rest was I want to say through some combination of VA. (before it meets/crosses the US, etc). That will also skew different results between different NC people if their trace routes are different. Someone with more knowledge on WANs should chime in. I can't claim to be an expert or know the exact case.

BTW this is regular 45/mon RR

I have the 29.95 a month Road Runner with 7mb down. I have this special for a year, then I switch to Earthlink for 6 months and get 29.95, then I switch back to Road Runner for 29.95 for another year.

One thing I have noticed is if you switch you dns to opendns servers your internet with road runner will be alot faster. Road Runners DNS Servers are really really slow.

Road Runner STANDARD through my wireless router to my laptop...

Run from Time Warner, they are going to charge for usage.

If you watch a lot of movies, you could end up spending 150 a month.

attn wilmington: cancel your tw services then sing up again so i can get paid for your disco AND your reinstallation! w00t w00t!

time warner, like every other corporation, sucks... and yet they provide services that we can hardly afford to live without.... life's a bitch but if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.
