TJ 2.5 to 4.0 swap???

I'm looking at swapping a 4.0 into a TJ that had a 2.5l. I know the motor mounts will need to be moved. What I need to know is does someone make a kit for this or do you have to cut off the original mounts and move them? I've done some searching and everything I find is to swap to a bigger GM or Chrysler motor.

You will need to move the motor mounts as noted. The wiring bulkhead from the fire wall forward will also need to be swapped for the 4.0 harness. You will need to get a engine/Trans/Transfer the 2.5s will not swap to the 4.0

I "Think" there pretty close to the same

When searching sites to buy, They put the 2.5 and 4.0 on the same part #.
also the 4.2

I'm planning on using a donor jeep so all the drivetrain/wiring/computer etc will be availiable. My main concern is moving the engine mounts. Most of the threads I've found don't get into the mounts too much, I'll check the links posted and see what I can glean from them.

I know a few of them do get into moving them.

heres a tip on how I have learned to search for info on forums

Goto Google and in the search line enter:

(what you looking for) Site:NC4x4.com or Siteirate4x4.com

For example -

2.5 to 4.0 swaps siteirate4x4.com

You will get allot better results than searching on the forum. All the results will be from just the site you listed.
