Sold my last Jeep a few years ago...why I haven't posted in a while. BUT...got the itch again and trying to find something to tinker with, ride around town but not drop a ton of money. Guy down the street has a 2000 TJ for sale. Wants $8,500 for it. Below are pics and specs...is this a good value or should I stay away? I drove it...sounds great, drives smooth.

160k miles (that's the part that worries me)
4" lift
Dana 44 Rear Axle
4.10 gears front and rear
Slip yoke eliminator with double yoke drive shaft
Transmission has less than 1,000 miles on it
New exhaust system with flowmaster 40 muffler
Headers
New Radiator
AEM Cold Air Intake
New top and doors
Rhyno Lined interior

That's a little high, because the TJ market is flat right now.

Wait him out if it's what you want, then offer $6500

It's a serious buyer's market. Just look here in the for sale section

@Blaze has this one for sale and its been out there a while. Good deal too

I wouldn't worry about the mileage. On an older vehicle, where it has been driven, how it's been driven, and how it's been maintained means 10 times more than the number on the odometer.

Those miles wouldn’t make me bat an eye if it’s been cared for well. But I drive some very high mileage vehicles (522k and counting).

I agree it seems a bit high. The one Troy posted that Blaze has for sale is nicer and priced better if you ask me. Salvage titles have never bothered me if I wasn’t intending to sell it to make money.

lol, Thanks everyone for the feedback...decided to pass on this one for now and wait it out!
