The only models that came with the Dana 44 exclusively were (SOME OF) the limited editions and rubicons. The Dana 44 was optional on all 4.0 models except SE and X models, I HAVE the Dana 44 with 3.73 gearing (soon to be swapped out for 4.56 and lockers by Olivers...just $600 away!) and a 5 speed.
I ordered the build sheet from Chrysler before I bought it (got the VIN prior to buying just to be sure what I was getting into) and found out it had the Dana 44 but no trackloc. Apparently the trackloc is subject to giving up the ghost before 100k. Especially if the rearend is serviced and the proper lubricant isn't replaced. I wasn't disappointed to see I didn't have one. It just encourages those Detroits sooner!
