So the only fun things left to look forward to when turning 18 now are buying scratch offs and going to the strip club. Wonder how long it will be before they change that?

Add getting their licence to that. Many kids these days are too lazy to get their licence at 16, so they just wait till 18.

I don't agree with 18 for drafting people into the military, giving them weapons to kill the enemy, but not allowing them to buy alcohol and cigarettes until they are 21. That just doesn't make sense to me.

Yes but of all those, somebody who binge drinks a lot is more likely to be an alcoholic than somebody who does not. Or somebody who smokes or whatever.
They don't do studies on that because it's not a good indicator.

Sure. But clearly one who binge drinks is more likely to become an alcoholic than one who does not. And that's what the data shows, therefore, my original comment.
