Today's Craigslist Stupidity

I've gotten to where I now put a lot of parts in my garbage can just because I don't see it being worth my time to sell them.

I'm right there with ya.
And it's not really about the money, I just hate hearing man I've looked everywhere for xyz...
A month or so back someone on here was looking for a 6 lug 10 bolt front to get a dd back on the road. Like within a week before I'd paid my son and one of his friends to help me haul off...several. we didn't even take them to scrap. Just the metal bin at the landfill.

I've got a factory gas pedal from a cj7 I've moved through 2 houses and 5 shops. Should just toss it. But someone probably needs it.

I've got a shelf full of aluminum intakes. Chevy and ford. Cheap enough to toss but hate throwing away something someone needs.

Maybe I'm a hordes at heart

I was trying to buy something on craigslist he said he would take a little less for it if i could pick it up before Friday, this was on a Wednesday. repeatedly told me it was worth way more, we scheduled to meet around lunch on Friday, he cancelled that morning and said sorry thats the way i treat all people on craigslist, we can meet next week but the price will be the original price. Its still for sale on CL 2 months later.

My rule of thumb is: if I have to Google search the area code you're calling/texting from, don't waste your time and don't waste mine. I've got every one from GA to TN memorized already.

I used to do the same, but now everybody keeps their cell phone numbers forever and there is no telling where they actually live anymore.

I'm a hoarder, and my wife is trying to cure me. I too have moved parts from one house to the next, then again to another house.

I've posted stuff for sale on here several times and had no one bite, so I've been trying to change my ways and just pitch the stuff. It is hard though knowing someone, somewhere could use it.

I hate waiting around for someone just to no-show, or text me that they are running behind and show up 2-4 hrs late over a $20-$50 item then listen to them try and haggle me down further. My Sat or Sun afternoon gets screwed. So fawk it, sometimes I just throw stuff away.

so how big is our wanted...for sell section?? hypothetical: more stuff listed more stuff sold. Is this section real active? I cant really say as I don't monitor it. As for certain items, I'm not looking.....but I'm always "Observing". Like for instance a good aluminum intake for a SBF is on my list but not "NEEDED". Or C4 trans stuff ect.

I've also tried to unload some more uncommon stuff.....after a bit like you guys off it goes. But I also try very hard to evaluate it for any idea it could be reused. I'm the type to take 15 dollars over the trash as well.

I had a set of tires on CL. A guy drove an hour to look at them. He got out of his truck and from 30 feet away he began to say there was only one good tire in the stack, and they were dry rotted. I just told him to have a safe drive back and walked back in the house. He stood there looking confused for about a minute then left.

I got yelled at by a kid's grandma because I didn't trust her enough to accept a check for my CBR which they also wanted me to deliver to Atlanta.

all ICE or INS needs to do is post up a honda accord or a 90's suburban for cheap, and slap'em in the paddy wagon as soon as they show up

that's all that's going to show up when you post in CLT area

Is this anyone’s truck that we know of up here, Bc I’ve seen it in a Facebook group......needless to say he asked a dumb ass question then started acting like he had more money than anyone else. Then a few called him out on how ghetto he did the swap.
