Top gear tries to break a hilux

I just saw that and came here to post it, too. That is just insane. A testament to toyota. It just wouldn't die.
 
Caught that one on the Binder Bulletin. Impresses the hell out of me! They put that thing through the ringer. Worth watching the whole thing!!
 
Old, hilux-type Toyotas are.

This video just keeps popping up in misc places, just up on 4x4wire a few days ago, on ORC every now and again.
And yet, every time I *have* to watch it, and every time I'm impressed.

just too damn bad they never sold the diesels here.

Yeah, I don't think an unleaded would crank up after being submerged in the waves and buried in the sand.
 
Does anyone have that video in a format that can be played on something other than the google player?

Would really like a copy.
Be great to play in the waiting room at the shop.

Fifth gear was showing often until last week or so... I think on speed. I had it on Tivo. Lots of old shows (like the 2003 Geneva motor show), but who cares.. Tiff is one powerslidin mofo! (And she's not a bad driver either!)
 
i am looking to purchase a diesel hilux now....anybody know where i can find one?:smokin:

Yeah they were obviously old....but daggone! I'm still watching Sienfeld every night and loving it :rolleyes: I'm on like a 3-10 year delay for TV...don't watch much of it at all caue it all seems like crap anymore....well except 24 :D
 
And this concludes all the reasons why I'll never own any other truck than a Toyota. Period.

(Damn, I thought mine had been through a lot.)

Also where could I get those Hilux emblems? Anybody know?
