I had a Craftsman, it built one engine and an axle, and then failed ( wouldn't click, no matter the setting, 1yr warranty and it was older by about 2 months, Screw Sears)
that's another reason I opted for HF...even though some of my HF tools are considered "disposable" due to price, it's nice to know I can get a replacement if I wanted...
when I bought mine several years ago, Craftsman wanted $79.99 for a 1/2" drive 0-150 ft/lbs, and it only had either a 90-day or 6-month warranty...
HF wanted $9.99 for a 1/2" drive 0-150 ft/lbs, and included a lifetime warranty...
both were the clicker style with the handles that rotated to the desired setting...
I bought a 1/2" ft/lb, a 3/8" ft/lb and a 1/4" in/lb...all for a good bit less than one Craftsman...
