I have been using a walk behind broadcast spreader to put down my fertilizer and weed killer for several years. It was a cheap Scotts one from Lowes, and came apart last fall. I am thinking about replacing it with a tow behind model that I can use with my lawn tractor. Does anyone have a model that you would recommend? I don't mind dropping some money on the right one that will last me for 20+ years. I only got about 6 years out of the Scotts one.

I was looking at that one and also the 175lb version. Thanks.

Well crap...I was going to offer you up mine (Agrifab 100) for free but I remembered I loaned to the neighbor last year and he accidentally.....well...he ended up giving me $100 and a 12 yr old scotch

Just get one from Lowes/HD/TS and call it a day. The metal will start rusting in a few years throwing fertilizer.

Maybe some of them fix the issue, but I've had one to attach to the front of my atv and one to tow behind. Biggest issue was nigh slung fert all up under my atv. I was going to build a guard but just sold them and went back to walking.

Np If ya have a way to carry extra bags of lime/fertilizer etc on ya mower the 100lb ya can't beat really!
