anyone run the mud grapplers and if so how long do the did they last?
Wheel question- will the newer Dodge 17" steel and aluminum rims fit on my 2007 Silverado Classic?
i just got the Firestone Transforce HT today. First impression with 5 miles on them is they are quiet and smooth. Price is right too.
265 75 R16 load range E
Not sure of the longevity, but I bought a pair of used/50% Hankook "MT"s (not sure of the model) for the rear of my 3/4ton SUB that are great!
I usually balance w/ H20/anti-freeze, but these required NONE (zero issues unbalanced) and are very quiet for a MT.
Had to pull a juvenile family member back onto the road yesterday (hydroplaned in a curve & went into brush thicket ) and they never even spun in the gravel road the Sub was on... OTOH, a few months ago, I got caught pulling a trailer down in my buds bottom pasture (small spring keeps it "moist"). I didn't get stuck (2WD), but they sure did chew up the ground & filled the fenderwells FULL of mud/grass!
I had the Nitto Dune Grapplers on my 99 Dodge 2500 Cummins size 285/65 18 10ply load range E, I got 48,000 miles with normal driving, towing a gooseneck, and giving it hell. I loved those tires they were quiet wore really good and lasted a long time, the only problem with them is they arent that great in the mud or slick stuff soft ground like at the beach and all was no problem but mud just packed them up to bad to do much. I've heard that the Trail Grapplers should get similar mileage so thats what I'm going with next, but we will see.
well scrach the atz's the tread is way too soft i know i dont have that many mile on then right at 500 but they have rear sway like bias tires do... which suck for towing found out this weekend when i towed the yota to ure will be headed back to galloways to swap these out for the dura grapplers
