I am looking to buy a trailer for my tractor with FEL and also to haul my Comanche trail rig. The Comanche will be getting SD axles so the trailer needs to be at least 7' 5" wide. I'm wanting a 20' bumper pull trailer. I see almost none of the trailers posted in the "let me see your trailer and tow rig" thread are deck over style trailers. I was looking at either a deck over or drive over fender trailers. Is the reason no deck over trailers because of height reasons? Budget is 5000 to 6000.

Heavy AF and COG

I've got both a metal deck car trailer and a drive over buggy hauler. I haul the tractor on the buggy hauler just fine

Take a look at the Load Trail TH14 or similar. They are probably a bit out of your price range, but if you want a wide deck, non-deckover, tilt trailer with drive over fenders and rock solid construction, they are the hot ticket.

I believe PJ has a similar trailer that can be found cheaper than the Load Trails, but the frame isn't as beefy.

With that said, @rcalexander105 has a nice trailer for sale that would fit your needs in your price range if a 16 footer would be long enough:

I ended up just getting this 24’ 8.5’ deck over from TRT today. The 24' was only $200 more than the 20'. I just need to get a spare tire and winch for it.

I have a free spare tire and $400 Warn Xd9000i with your name on it 😉

I recently picked up a Kaufman tilt 15K trailer. I've been very happy with the Kaufman. I believe there 10K or 14K non tilt would be at the top in of your budget.

So I started looking at trailers to haul the Jeep. I found this one but its a 83" deck and the Jeep is around 87" ish at the front and 84" in the rear. I was thinking I could modify the fenders to make her fit or am I just crazy?

Strengthen them for driving over?

That’s a lot of trailer for hauling the jeep if you don’t plan to haul a piece of equipment or anything. Many companies make the drive over fenders. Or can go with a deck over and win it all.

I was thinking removable or drive over. The deck overs are like 4k more and this style would allow hauling cars as well. I would also use it for a tractor or sxs also
Do yourself a favor and order it the way you want it. If you plan to haul cars that you might not be able to get in and out get removable fenders.

That seems pretty high to me. 8000 bucks for a 20 footer?!

My Kaufman 22' tilt deck 15K trailer was $7200 so yes I'd say that is high.

I know it's not an accurate comparison, but my 26ft Kaufman gooseneck with 17.5s was 6300 in 2018. Just looked on their website and the same length/options would be right at 9000.

The trailer to money ratio seemed off....even with the drive over fenders and extra deck width.

I really would like a stupid short goose neck but I don't have the plate or ball on the new truck so bumper pull it is. Yeah, all the prices seem high and as much as I'd like to wait I need it for the GTG to get my pos there.

Holy crap. Simple car trailers are crazy high. I bought that same trailer *old man yells at cloud* in 2002 for $1700 here locally
Steels high, lumber is high, you should know that, so they are going to be high. When I was looking used was within 10% - 20% of new.
