What’s the best stuff to tie your rig down on the trailer these days? I’ve got chains and binders and can keep going that route, but all the fancy half chain half ratchet strap stuff I always through was cool. It’s been a minute since I was up to speed on all this.

Never ending build getting (maybe) closer to completion and I’m looking forward to putting tires on rocks soon. And new kit is always fun.

I think weld on tie down points on the axle are amazing you can either get the fancy ones or the bent 5/8 bar ones from barnes. I have weld on tie down points on all four corners of my rig then weld on d-rings on my trailer. The d-rings allow me to use the these Vulcan straps. This combination allows me to just reach under clip the hook on and clip the hook on the d-ring. No fishing a strap or chain around anything. So much quicker and cleaner than axle straps after a fun weekend. Vulcan also makes straps with built in axle straps.

Look up USA ratchet spin tech …made in greenville sc.
It’s crazy how well they just work

I've got straps with chain ends and really like them. But, I agree with @Keith1138 that it would be nice to not fish a strap or chain around the axles.
I thought they were all hype till I was building my rear axle and decided it might be 14 dollars well spent. It was extremely nice not having to worry about brake lines. On the front I went with round bar ones because they fit perfectly under my coil spring perches.

Call me old fashion or paranoid or overkill or whatever, but I use chains and binders on my vehicles.

I was chain and binder guy until about 2-3 years ago and I went totally ratshit straps and axles straps. Quick and easy and cleaner. Looked at Mac's and decided to save $300 and use Amazon ties. All work great and if i destroy one, its a few bucks.

I had them put together a set with chains on the ratchet and snap hooks on the strap. All kinds of colors and fully customizable.
Same as name brand kits for less.
I've never had any issues with their stuff.
