That is a slick setup! If they sold that as a kit (without having to purchase a trailer too), I would buy one for each of my trailers.
Yea. I’d seriously look into it. Hell I might try and build one. 2x4 as a lock out is cheap as a temporary solution.
 
Yes I found one by Midwest Race Cabinets that is like that but only uses a 3500 winch.
I have wired a 2500lbs on a friends trailer and we used it to pull a completely dead buggy over the fenders without a problem. It also pulled a 2500HD truck as well without a sweat.
You can still use a pulley if you need more strength.
I think that's enough.

It really doesn't take much force for things that roll or slide easily, especially with the lower angle of a tilt trailer. On the contrary, a dead tracked skidsteer is a whole other animal. @tw89yj and myself had a hell of a time getting my machine loaded at his place when I blew a main drive hose. Even with a 9k winch and his 10k pound skidsteer, it was a friggin challenge.

It is until you have the deck loaded and have to remove it.
