Tree guys?

Are your sure those are cypresses ?
Look like cedars on my phone. If they are eastern red cedar (like I suspect) sell the trunks

I'm guessing Leylands, which aren't bald cypress but an ornamental hybrid with wood properties closer to cedar, IIRC. They're probably knotty as hell since they've been growing out in the open.

So, my local Bobcat dealer has pretty good prices on machines and delivery. If I'm having it delivered, I can get a bigger machine. What size is going to be adequate and make pushing these tree's easier? Obviously, bigger is better, but what would be best. @jeepinmatt already said a 7500lb machine would do well. Should I get bigger. Throwing a couple names in here.

I probably have 10 trees to push over and about 10 stumps to get up that the trees have been cut. I'm sure I have a good 8 hrs of work.

If the price is the same for all of them, get the biggest one. Also, get the narrowest bucket they'll put on it.

Price isn't the same. It goes up by about $20-$25 each one. the 42 is 375 and the 50 is about 400.
An E50 or E63 with a 12" bucket and a hydraulic thumb would be the hot ticket.

The 50 should do you good. Mine is about the same size and weight as an E55, but I'd venture to guess a new E55 might be stronger than mine hydraulically...unless they're safety switched all to hell.

What did the rental end up costing?
Well, they are picking it up Tuesday morning, but i only have 8 hours to use. It was 467 for the rental, including insurance. Then 170 for delivery and pickup. So, 650ish. Much better than the 4000 i had quoted for tree guys to do it. It's pretty bad ass and I'm enjoying the hell out of it so far. Did this load, dug 3 stumps and fell and stacked 3 trees in 1.5 hr this evening.

I finally decided to cut some down at the new house. They are too close to my fence so I have to cut tthem and just leave the stumps. 4 loaded to haul off tomorrow morning, will cut and haul off the other 15 or so tomorrow.

Luckily I only have to haul them about a mile away!

haul them to my back 40 (or front 40, or side 40).... we have a spot open for muzzleloader/ rifle x2 / squirrel and duck opener. thats 5 trips.
see how easy that was.

I'm late to the thread but for future identification you can tell if it's an eastern red ceder by the red/pink color of the wood and the aromatic smell of the cut wood. The smell remains in the the dead trees for years after the die and they can stand for decades after they die.

How are you unloading that trailer? I know you have equipment, but assuming you aren't taking them where it is.

Probably chain the load to another existing tree and drive out. Or back up and hit the breaks but I'm guessing that wouldn't work to well with the trailer and load.

It's amazing how well that doesn't work without something you want to fall out, and how well it does work with something you don't want to fall out :D

They have equipment where I am taking them, will probably cost about $20-30 per load to dump them, but it is worth it to not have to fool with burning them. I load them with stump and to the back so it is easy to pull them off, and if the guy isn't there I do as mentioned and tie the bottom one oof and pull out from under them.

Is that the place on old Thomasville rd? I knew there was a place over there.
