Triad Meet & Greet RSVP

July 10th saturday 6pmish. See ya'll there. Any word on the RTI ramp some one was talking about?

Rti ramp

I would bring it but we talked about Hams prolly wouldnt want it there? Plus there calling for rain. We can talk about it with the manager while we are there and maybe get and ok for it next time.

Apparently a buddy of mine is buying a front axle from someone coming out to the Meet, small world.
My apartment complex has a bit of a ramp, its meant to be decorative, made out of wood by the carwash in the complex. :D Its about 4 feet high, probably a 45 degree angle atleast. I have used for flex. flexed my xj on 36's out all the way. They don't like it but they haven't made any actual complaints, just mean glares from there golf carts.

And the patio is covered if i remember correctly so as long as the wind doesn't pick up with the rain we'll be golden.

Todays the day folks, Should be a good turnout for sure, very glad this worked out, I just got home from work though so I am about to grab some Z's, just gotta take down a sign for Draider, The patio is covered, but it is also on the street side of the building, not really the parking lot, but if we use the far lot, it will be close enough, also the patio is right next to the bar, and since Im off until sunday nite, I will definately grab a few beers with yall.

For any questions or last minute directions or anything I can be reached by cell : 336 430 7842

Try to call after 3... I need to sleep atleast a little.

My name is Eric, probably ride out with my brother to Hams, be in a Red 2000 Mustang GT, both the jeeps are down for the moment unfortunately so we will be showing up in a 2 wheel drive :'(

Forgot to ask, by chance will anyone be bumping into D raider soon who is coming to the M & G? Have a large sign I am trying to give to him, unfortunately due to my schedule and him not being nearby, it has become rather complicated, hate to ship it if someone could get it to him.

Let me know, if someone lets me know by... 5ish I will bring it with me to Hams.

Add an additional 2 more coming with me plus 3 little ones. Will be there sometime between 7 and 7:30 probably

Great Job of organizing and getting this thing put together Eric.

My name is Calvin I'll be in the White Wrangler.

Honestly regretting it lol, had a busy week, didn't end up getting to bed until 2:30 today. Woke up at 5, feel pretty awful. Gonna grab a quick shower and head that way, debating bringing my bros blue XJ instead, it isn't roadworthy in my opinion but he wants to, so well see.

Had a pretty good turnout tonight, good meeting everyone.

It was discussed doing it again in 2 weeks, I will probably post that up in the morning.

Definately need to get the group together for a wheeling trip sometime soon, lots of nice vehicles in the bunch.

We stayed till 9:30 and had around 15-18 people for most of the night.

I had a great time meeting all you folks! It was too cool. What was not cool was me calling AAA to tow my rig home from the side of hwy 52 at midnight. Like I said, "Still working the bugs out". Making memories, so it was worth it. I can't wait to do it again.

I had a good time was nice meeting some fellow local wheelers, see everyone hopefully at the next one.

at midnight? damn you drive slow

What happen any idea? hope you get all the bugs straightened out soon

Not sure what I was thinking. I did a body lift and motor mount lift and for soem reason thoight I'd just knock them out and hop on over to hams for the meet.

WRONG.

Got the body lift done saturday and was too ass whooped to do anythinf. Just finished the motor mount lift today. WHEW, what a weekend.

Sad thing is I was over behind papa johns in Kvegas working on the jeep but I was dirty and did not smell remotely socially acceptable.

Hope there's another one soon. I'm done with my "big" projects for now.

2 weeks. Should I make a new thread or just go with this one, I will start it in here and if anyone sees it necessary for a new thread, either transfer it, or PM me and I will do it.

--------------------------------------

Hoping to see some new faces this time, and hopefully the old faces from last time.

Excellent. Try and do the RTI ramp in that other parking lot, since that's not really Hams' parking lot?

I Pm'd Kevin about that, whether he chooses to bring it or not is up to him, we discussed possibly doing a meet/event at Olivers at some point in the future, where liability concerns could be met.

Sucks that your rig broke down Brandon, what went wrong?

TSM, you should have came, we wouldn't have minded, we've all been there.

Being put on at the flats, its about a 2 hour trip but well worth it, great trails, great folks, and ofcourse the delicious hotdogs... Lets not forget its for a good cause so talk to everyone you can. We will postpone the meet until sometime after this.

We could possibly get a group to travel together, not sure if any of the heeps will be drivable at that time, well figure something out though.

I would love to make it to the flats event, but I have a bachelor party to go to. I will donate, though, if someone could pm me about how. As for my FJ40 break down... ha, well, I was on a 4 rated trail (Hwy 52 south) when my carb started backfiring through the carb and when I let off it killed over. At 65 mph. I no-power steered it off the road and after checking, found that the distributor clamp was loose. (I had someone time it the day before, and didn't check behind them) So I guess that was the cause of the backfires.

Also I have had a problem with the fuel draining down away from the carb through the line whenever the engine was turned off. I know this because I had a glass re-usable fuel filter just before the carb. I drained the battery trying to get it to start, and it was already low from all of the other long cranks from the past few days before.

So, now I have pulled the alternator off to have it checked, and am going to have the engine re-timed and tuned up by one of the local race gurus I know. I replaced the fuel line between the pump and the carb, and removed the glass filter so maybe that will solve that issue? No worries, I have 2 other filters on the line. I do have an electric pump back at the tank and a mechanical pump on the engine. After the battery charges, I will know more I guess. Sorry this post was so long.

I had a great time meeting everyone. Looking forward to the next one.

Brandon, that sucks about the FJ. You have done a sweet job on that thing. Hope you get eveything straightened out. If there is anything I can help you with just PM me.
