Tubing Down the Dan river

Forgot to mention....I didn't remember this...but apparently Duke Energy had some sort of coal ash spill or something into the Dan? One of the guys asked our driver about it and it didn't sound too sure about the cleanliness (spelling?) of the water.....which wasn't very comforting right before Im supposed to get in....I also wish they would build some sort of sand barge down at the bottom of the steps when you get in...stepping on loose jagged logs trying to get in your tube doesn't sound like the safest thing to do.

Coal ash spill was at the power plant in Eden, NC. Up stream every thing as use to be. Down stream, well, depends on who you ask.

Yeah the guy who drive us up there was kind of weary. He said "I mean, you know....we ain't see nobody come out with an extra arm or anything"
