I don't know why, but for some reason, my eye has always been pretty good at catching typos. Today, my daughter got an email from the English Curriculum Specialist at her high school informing her that since she was in the top percentile of her Junior class, she was invited to be a Junior Marshall at the graduation this year. Pretty cool, right?
I read on and I quote, "Junior Marshalls must be dressed as following: white dresses (appropriate for the ceremony) or kaki pants with long sleeve white collared shirt and tie that does not distract from the formality of the ceremony." Now, unless they are requiring them to wear pants made out of Japanese persimmons, I think the word they are looking for is khaki.
